Middlesbrough to Scarborough

The climbing stage of the 3-day Tour de Yorkshire, the Middlesborough to Scarborough route, passes through the North York Moors National Park as well as, amongst others, Great Ayton, Stokesley, Northallerton, Thirsk, Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside, Hutton-le-Hole, Grosmont, Sleights, Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay, before a sprint finish in the North Bay at Scarborough. Climbs include the notorious Sutton Bank near Thirsk.

Please note the route from Middlesbrough to Scarborough is as close to the Tour de Yorkshire 2016 race route as possible, but there may be some minor changes for safety reasons, for example where one-way systems dictate.
